Acworth Voters Elect Kimberly Haase to Board of Aldermen

Haase Will Be the First Black Woman to Serve on the City’s Governing Body

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – November 5, 2025

ACWORTH, GA — Kimberly Haase has been elected to serve as Alderwoman for Acworth’s Post 4 At-Large seat, making history as the first Black woman elected to the Acworth Board of Aldermen.

Haase’s victory represents the culmination of years of persistence and dedication – following campaigns in 2021, 2023, and 2025 – that created new opportunities for Acworth voters to have a choice in how their community is represented.

Throughout her campaign, Haase emphasized her values-driven approach to leadership, grounded in transparency, inclusion, and accountability – not partisanship. “This campaign was never about political labels,” Haase said. “It was about bringing people together around shared values and a shared vision for Acworth’s future.”

Haase would also like to thank her opponent, Tim Richardson, and commend his 25 years of dedication and service to Acworth.

As Alderwoman, Haase will represent all residents of Acworth and continue her mission to ensure the city remains a welcoming, thriving community for everyone.

“Let’s take the lead in Acworth,” Haase said. “Together, we can continue building a city where every voice is heard, every neighborhood is valued, and every person feels at home.”
